Challenge

Our client wanted to understand how the industry uses genomic approaches to build upon existing pipelines and treatments for T2D and how the industry is using genomic approaches to better treat NASH/NAFLD as a disease area

Solution

Extensive secondary research to capture the information regarding cohorts used in the study, genomic targets and study designs being used

• In Phase I, in depth secondary research was conducted focusing on the clinical trials, patent searches, diabetes and NASH specific journal searches, recent collaborations etc.
• In Phase II, analysis was done to identify the top three gene targets for NASH and top 12 gene targets for T2DM and findings were summarised

Results

• Understood the genomic approaches, cohorts and study designs used by the key companies in scope. Successfully identified and enabled our client to understand genomic approaches, cohorts and study designs used by the key companies in scope
• Understood the top players in the T2DM and NASH domain and genomic approaches used by them
