Project scope

To understand the cost impact analysis of introducing a hexavalent vaccine and generate evidence on the economic impact at the scale of a national immunization program compared to the current standard of care through mapping KOLs and conducting interviews with key stakeholders.

Challenge

Our client is a vaccine manufacturer and wanted to carry on the cost impact analysis of the potential introduction of a hexavalent vaccine and generate evidence on the economic impact of the intervention (shan6) at the scale of a National Immunization Program compared to the current Standard of Care.

Solution

Mapping KOLs and payers, Extensive primary research.

• Conducted a mapping exercise to recruit KOLs and payers for the discussion.
• Conducted discussions with relevant stakeholders to identify the core cost components of current vaccine delivery and understand the extent of locally available cost in the public sector and model input data.

Results

• Understood the current vaccine schedule and any associated challenges.
• Understood the key cost drivers in the uptake and delivery of the current schedule.
• Understood the key sources for local input data and the applicability of non-local data inputs.
